Flickr is pretty neat. I always avoided it because I didn't think I would enjoy it that much. But I might actually be able to get into it. I guess we will see.

Flickr could help you with school or work, maybe if you have a presentation due, you can find some nice pictures to use here.
I do use a different photo hosting service actually. I use photobucket, just to hold on to all of my pictures, and I use www.Dailybooth.com as my photosharing site.
The degree of interactiveness in these three are all different.
Photobucket, you have no interaction really, Flickr you have more and with Daily booth, you upload a picture everyday, and it goes into a stream where people can comment and photo comment you back. It's really fun actually.

I don't mind having my pictures as public, probably just because of the generation I am growing up in. Everyone has their images online, and nothing to horrible has happened... yet.
