I would have to say that I preferred Google Docs. The formatting, text styles and paragraph styles all seem to be exactly like you were writing a document in word, which makes it very user friendly I think.
They are similar, but with Google Docs, you just get a much easier way to use the tools, the layout is much better.
Not really, like I said, they are pretty close, it's just the layout really.

Our Founding Fathers would probably have a heart attack if they would have seen these tools, but to answer the question, obviously I do think that it would have been easier for them to write it, can't really say if it would be better though.
