I ended up having to choose both Twitter and Plurk.
I set up a Twitter account, but I couldn't follow AIM16things on Twitter so I made a Plurk account to finish one of the tasks that I needed to complete.
The online journaling experience is unique because instead of all the other social networking sites, you get to see what people are doing right at the minute they make a post. If someone were to update a lot, it would almost be as if you were right there with them. It would probably get pretty annoying after a while though also, if there was someone constantly Tweeting.
When it comes to Twitter or Plurk, I can't really see it having any application with school or work really, unless you wanted to tell your coworker or colleuge that you are about to shred some paper, or go down to the student store, but there are better ways to do that also.
When it comes to Twitter and Plurk, it is more of something to do if you have a lot of time to keep up with it, and it would be easy to get lost in and forget about what your doing, but than so is every other social networking site. So pick your poison I guess.
