Myfacespacebooking. Ahhh.
Alright, where to begin. Facebook and Myspace, I have both and I use both. It is a great tool for staying in touch with distant friends and family as well as making new friends and colleges.
Being a student here at Ai, Facebook and Myspace could come in handy with meeting other students at the school, by searching who attends said school. You can connect with the students, get to know them without leaving the safety and security of your own home.
Facebook and Myspace can also be used to promote yourself to potential employers, you could put your job history, your experience, where you went to school, what you went to college for, really anything you can think of can be on either of these social media sites. Employers can then look at your page and decide if you are right for them.

You might share different aspects with different people, which is great because you can choose what you want to show who on these social media sites. Me personally, I show pages that I am a fan of, pictures of me, and to top it off, some slight information about who I am.

Professional networking and social networking are really different from each other and it might be a good idea to maybe separate the two, whether it be with two accounts on the same site, or if you choose to use two different sites. This way you can keep your personal life and your work life separate. There may be things you don't want future employers to know, and this is a great way to avoid that problem.
